You choose every number. The weekly average is a starting point, not a quote.

The payment card starts on a sample, so you have numbers to move.

The other calculators start empty, and you type the rate.

FHA's upfront premium is 1.75% of the base loan. Most people add it to the loan, so the payment is figured on the total.

How to read them

What the results mean

  • Use the rate a lender quoted you. The weekly average we show is not a quote.
  • Nothing you type is saved or sent.
  • Principal and interest is the loan payment alone. Taxes, insurance, and HOA come on top.
  • Mortgage insurance and closing costs are left out unless you type them. Picking VA or USDA adds that loan's own fees.
